In India, there are around 63.4 million MSMEs that employ close to 120 million people. MSMEs are essential to our economy’s expansion because they diversify our supply chains, spur innovation, boost productivity, identify problems, and create employment.
MSMEs make up around 30% of our GDP and receive 50% of the money made from all exports.
The MSME sector will be essential to achieving the ambitious goal of a $5 trillion economy with a 25% contribution from the manufacturing sector.
The industry is optimistic and ready to go all out to achieve the ambitious goal, and the government has introduced enabling regulations and ensured policy stability to create an environment that would be favorable to attracting investments.
